Relictors Space Marines - Sternguard Razorback

Hi all, thanks for dropping by, I have finished a much needed transport option for my recently completed Sternguard Squads, an Assault Cannon armed Razorback.
This was an eBay purchase from previously Death Company Blood Angels, so the wonky barrels on the Assault Cannon turret are not my doing. Hardly noticeable until pointed out.
The doors and headlamps were 3rd party Resin kits I believe, the resin colour was green when I scratched the surface so not original, but a nice addition to my Relictors force, similar to the Whirlwind Artillery tanks I have done previously with Arcane Ruins big skulls on the doors (HERE).
I used my usual go to for heat staining the barrels, Nuln-Drakenhof Nightshade-Leviathan Purple-Sepia washes. Easy to do and looks effective.
The naming of my tanks continues, this time after a Tom Cruise film - great film. The Company number is also 1st Company to show it is attached to the Sternguard Veterans.
The front plough was from Forge World (I added to the eBay tank) I had been waiting for an opportunity to add it to a tank for years, I think its even OOP now! - and decals also from FW. The Chains were from the Chaos Rhino kit, accessories sprue - why buy a Rhino when you can get loads of spares for Relictors vehicles with a few Chaos Rhinos...
A fine addition to the Sternguard armoury and my ever growing Battle Company+

Cheers, Siph (5pts)

Relictors Razorback LasPlas Turret Conversion

Just a little quick post showing the turret I made for my Razorbacks, here shown on Tactical Squad VI's transport. It is a Forgeworld Twin-Linked Lascannon Turret converted into a Lascannon / Twin Linked Plasma Gun Turret (or LasPlas) instead. Gamewise these have the advantage of being counted as two weapons for the weapon destroyed results which is nice.

Relictors Battle Company Transport Pool

As promised in my last post, here is a shot of all my Battle Company Transport Pool, not including the Landraiders, Predators, Vindicators, Whirlwinds and Drop Pods, just the basic Battle Company transport consisting of Command Squad Razorback, 6x Tactical Squad Rhino's and 2x Devastator Rhinos. The Tactical Markings and Devastator Chevrons are from the FW Space Marine Transfer sheet.
Here are the Devastator Rhino/Razorbacks along with the newest Rhino/Razorback for Tactical Squad VI and the Command Razorback - great for mixing and matching for 40K battles here or at Lord Halfpenny's. I've yet to complete the FW turret I'm converting into a Lascannon/TL Plasma Gun turret. I'll post once done so you can see the simple conversion.

Right back to work and slow progress with those 4 Drop Pods! Thanks for reading.

Relictors Tactical Rhino / Razorback VI Finished

The final Rhino / Razorback for my Battle Company Transport Pool is now completed, this is the latest addition to the Relictors - Tactical Squad VI's Rhino.  The TL Lascannons are converted from some Predator Sponson Lascannons, a CoD exhaust thingy and an Aegis Gun sensor and base plate, I've also got a FW Lascannon mount yet to do - converted into a Las/Plas turret for any of my Razorbacks.
This Rhino has all the same markings as all the others, WFB Shield pommel Skull face, chaos chains etc. But this one also sports Chapterhouse Studio's Hatch and Doors, nice lot of skulls, very Relictor's Chapter-like - and suitable for any Chaos Space Marine Legions, especially Nurgle - the top hatch has maggot and tentacle within the skulls, but I've just bone coloured the lot though - they are not yet heretics even if the Grey Knights think they are!!. Here are some more views - hope you like. *EDIT - Since posting this, I noticed I had not yet weathered the tracks and skirts with a stipple of Calthan Brown dirt, that is now done!
Lastly, here is a shot with the Squad and their new ride. Right, I must continue with some more Drop Pod progress and I still have some more Terrain and Scenery to do... and just a Command Squad to finish the entire Battle Company (plus the obligatory Armoury extras and FW goodies - that never ends, lol)
I'll post some pics of all the Relictor Rhino's in a few days. All neatly lined up they look awesome! Shame I won't field them all together. Thanks for reading.

Relictors Devastator Squad X Rhino / Razorback Transport

So 6thDegree wants to see more progress on my Necrons, sry.. lots of Power Armour goodness to do, especially after my Gamesday purchases (Fellblade anyone??)... This is my latest offering for my Relictors continued painting war in order to reach the goal of a completed Battle Company. I get distracted by other more 'fun' toys (darn you FW!!), however, this actually counts towards that goal. The top hatch is magnetized for either Hatch or Razorback Turret.
This is my 8th Rhino/Razorback now, but if you include all Rhino STC APC's, that's something like 15 in the Relictor motorpool.
The chevron markings are once again FW Space Marine Transfers, they seemed to go on easy this time, nothing like practice makes perfect. This is 10th Squad's ride, hence the 'X' numeral. And 5th Company again, hence the '5'.
Here is a shot of both Devastator Squad's transports, they are very similar on purpose, uniformity and all that...
And a final shot of Squad X enjoying their new ride. Just how do they all fit in there?

Relictors Devastator Squad IX Rhino / Razorback

So after a number of FW goodies being done, and a whole lot more purchased at Gamesday, I've neglected actually completing any more of the basic Relictors Battle Company stock of troops and vehicles, so I knocked out this Rhino / Razorback to accompany Devastator Squad IX.
The film from the transfers is not this visible in real life, just under the spot light shows a little more...
The large markings are from the FW Space Marine Transfer sheet, much easier than freehanding! Although the top hatch one was a pain to get on and move into position.
As always, the vehicle gets a name, and the number denotes 5th Company, hence the Black Trim on shoulder pads and vehicles. And as always, the track section and edges got a light stipple of the Calthan Brown i use on the bases of the troops.
This Rhino is fully equipt to be a Razorback too, I magnetized a sprue section across the doors and top hatch, a very simple magnet job!
And finally, I'll leave you with a group shot, Squad IX with their very own transport. This leaves 2 Rhino's and 3 members of the Command Squad until I can say the Battle Company is complete... but it's never really complete is it?!

Mk 1's Razorback and Vindicator

Here are two tanks from my collection, The razorback is about 12-13 years old, (my first tank, aged 14..ah the memories..)and will be given an fresh lick of paint. I like the fact that the new Space Marine Codex discusses this variation, with the lascannon/twin-linked plasma configaration.

The second tank again is about 12 years old. I based the idea on the vindicator from the final liberation computer game. The tank then was armed with a thunderer cannon. I'm planning on have this as a Mk I version. As again this variation was mentioned in the codex in the history of the vindicator.. The tank itself was based on the old rhino, with a massive cannon on the front. I used the largest syringe I could find. The original version had the roof open, with crew interior. I used two plastic marines, some cpu boards trimed around the edge and some shells from another kit for the main weapon. However when GW produced on I felt it didn't look right to have a tank, with a huge weapon showing its workings, so I added the metal roof with the fans on it..

Relictor Razorback

I painted this Razorback a while ago for my forthcoming Relictors Army, so since the army is pretty sizeable now (50+ troops etc.) I thought I'd share the pics with you. The detailing on the front and side doors and rear ramp are Forgeword parts as this will be my Command Squad transport choice. The addition of a Command Frame space marine sensor on the top designates this as a command vehicle.

I was going for a WWII armoured look so I used roughcoat for the basic chasis before adding details, I don't think I'll do it again - but it sets it apart from the others. Could just be a different Forgeworld or earlier MK? I like it. Since then, this has become the standard colour pattern for my Relictor vehicles.

But I guess the real reason for posting now is to gloat (sorry) and show Pornstarjedi his Ultramarine Landraider slayer in all its glory - and a new recently added honour marking for destroying that Landraider and one of the Terminator occupants and effectively winning me the recent Ultramarine vs Relictors 1500pt game on turn one. I'll wait for his revenge response of posting pictures of said Landy with a new honour marking, my Dreadnought slayer!
