Necron Dynasty - Destroyer Cult Re-Based

Hello Overlords, since the Lokhust Heavy Destroyers came out, the change of base from the clear flying stands to the terrain bases is something I liked a lot. So, I made plans to change the entire Destroyer Cult to the new style bases. They look much better together with the terrain bases.
Here is a Destroyer, a Heavy Lokhust Destroyer and a Destroyer Lord for comparison.
The original Lokhust Heavy Destroyers were conversions, and the Destroyer Lord.
Three Lokhust Destroyers
Three more Lokhust Destroyers
And the final three.

Thanks for dropping by. Cheers, Siph

Necron Dynasty - Lokhust Heavy Destroyer w/ Gauss Destructor

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. Another addition to the Necron Dynasty whilst I am away with work.
This is a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer armed with the anti-tank Gauss Destructor. Similar to the older Heavy Gauss Cannon of the old metal and 'failcast' Heavy Destroyers kit, but updated - it needed it! My previous failcast adventure is detailed HERE and meant I had to convert Heavy Gauss Cannons from spares of the Tomb Blade kit.
This has the same simple scheme as the previous Lokhust Heavy Destroyer with the anti-infantry Enmitic Exterminator. Both of which look great and similar in size alongside the older Destroyer kit, seen in my previous Lokhust post.
I added some of the old Necron decals, as all my previous Destroyers have them, but the same film issue continues, even though I used Micro Set, Micro Sol and 'Ardcoat gloss... minimal annoyance.
Its a beefy gun, and the energy blade beneath echoes the same as my Immortals.
Here it is alongside the other Lokhust Heavy Destroyer.

Necron Dynasty - Lokhust Heavy Destroyer w/ Enmitic Exterminator

Hello All, thanks for dropping in, I completed a little project I had prepped whilst away with work, so on my return I sent it straight to the front of the painting queue, a nice little mini to add to my Destroyer Force - I'm not sure what is in the Codex as I have not yet bought it, however I have 9 Destroyers, 2 Heavy Destroyers and a Destroyer Lord - I hope theses are still playable!
I opted for the rule of cool when it came to the weapon, the Gauss Destructor I guess is a replacement for a Heavy Gauss Cannon and the chosen Enmitic Exterminator is like a couple of Autocannons for horde clearing, but looks far superior so it stays, I'm sure my older two converted Heavy Destroyers can be counts-as Gauss Destructors.
I followed the same scheme as the previous Destroyers, a plain upper torso and blue shell. Red gauss energy effects.
I like the chips and dents the new sculpts have, makes them look a little more weathered and beaten.
'Tis a mighty fine looking behemoth of a gun - even if 3D3 shots at S7 -1AP D1 is a little lacklustre compared to a single S10 -4AP D-3D3 tank killer shot, but two different roles, just that Necrons don't have a problem clearing Hordes with the mainstay weapon being a Gauss Flayer.

This shows the size comparison between old and new 'heavy' destroyers - the older shell is actually considerably bigger but the new sculpt has a lot more mass. I like the addition of the non-flying stand base too, a nice update miniature, I just hope the old ones are playable!
Thanks for checking my latest addition to the Necron Dynasty,

Necron Dynasty Heavy Destroyers w/ Heavy Gauss Cannons

Hello Readers, Thanks for dropping in again. Cheers.  Here is my latest addition to the Necron Dynasty, a pair of Heavy Destroyers armed with Heavy Gauss Cannons. These saw action at Warhammer World in May.
These will give some much needed longer range firepower to the Dynasty, their firepower usually limited to 24in. And will also add some reliable anti-tank to the Destroyer Cult, we will have to await the Necron Codex/Battletome for 8th to see what gimmicks survive into 8th...
These finecast kits were very warped and the original Heavy Gauss Cannons were unuseable, so I made my own using the parts from spare Tomb Blade Gauss Blasters. You can see the conversion at the link.
I continued my Destroyer theme of adding gold glyphs to the carapace of the Destroyers.
Finally, I added a lens type thing to the scope on the shoulder, I used the Soulstone Blue over Stormhost Silver. Thanks again, cheers Siph.

Necron Heavy Gauss Cannon - Conversion from spare Tomb Blade Bits

Hi Readers, well what can I say. I bought these Heavy Gauss Cannons in the height of 'Failcast' epidemic, they were bad... then sat in the closet of doom for years until I did some research. I saw this Heavy Gauss Cannon Conversion on You Tube, but I never have spare Immortal Gauss Blasters, but what I might have is spare Tomb Blade Gauss Blasters - so taking inspiration, from this tutorial, I made the following.

### EDIT: Also seen this conversion if you really want chunkier guns! Its a great Necron Blog "BoneCron", check it out - Necron Heavy Destroyer Conversions ###
The good thing is, if you arm the Tomb Blades with Particle Casters or Tesla Carbines, you have a pair of Gauss Blasters spare. Also add an arm from the Destroyer kit.
I used the right hand weapon, cut up the left hand weapon to add an extra capacitor ring, cable and barrels. You can extend the barrels a little more if you cut further back as seen below. The normal Gauss Cannon is shown for scale, you want to be bigger than these to show the Heavy Destroyer.
Once glued together, the small indents were filled with green stuff. I think the extra capacitor coils on the end do it justice and show that this is an anti-tank powerful gun.
Here you can see my efforts, the middle one has slightly longer barrels as I cut them a little behind the power cable which looks awesome. Still not as long as the Heavy Gauss Cannon, but bigger, chunkier, twin barreled and most importantly - Straight!

Hope you like this. No need to purchase the wonky 'failcast' until GW makes them straight and in plastic. Cheers for stopping by.
