Legio Crucius - Warhound Titan Weapons - Done

Hello one and all,

Quick post, I've managed to complete several new weapons for selection for my Warhounds. Due to unavailability and lack of 28mm product development when compared to the AT range, these are 3D printed. 2x Conversion Beamers, a Volkite Eradicator and a Melta Lance weapon. These are switched utilising a nut and bolt solution in the arm and shoulder.
Melta Lance and Volkite Eradicator
Twin Melta Lances for close up fury
These have been painted to fit with my Legio Crucius force.

Thanks for Swinging by! LH (20pts)

Legio Crucius - Warhound Titan 'Blood of Caldos' - Done!

Hello one and all! Lets start the year off with a bang! a completed Forge World Warhound Titan!
Blood of Caldos is an official Forge World Titan but armed with 3D printed Ursus Claw and Melta lance, which I printed. The model was painted as per the Legio Crucius scheme, with a combination of metallic black, and white with a few nods of red. The kit has also had LED's added to the head with the battery pack built into the torso.
The legs/torso are connected with magnets for transport, and the arms have got a nut/screw mechanism to allow the weapons to be switched.

Thanks for looking! LH (50pts)

Legio Crucius - Warhound Titan - Mors Umbugus DONE!

Hello one and all,

This weeks offering is a completed Warhound Titan - Mors Umbugus of Legio Crucius. The Titan's name is Latin for 'Death Claws' appropriate as this Titan is armed with 2 home 3D-printed Ursus Claws.
The titan has already Marched to war, and the Claws, with others in the squadron are very dangerous!
The titan has been painted with the normal, metallic black/pearl white scheme, and then has had LED's added to the head. Overall happy with the look of the Titan!
There will be decals to be added eventually once I have more decal paper to print them at home.

Cheers, LH (50pts)

Warbringer Nemesis Titan - Sunfury Plasma Annihilator Carapace Weapon - Done

Hello one and all!

This weeks sees my offering to the collective of a Sunfury Plasma Annihilator weapon for my Warbringer Nemesis Titan from Forge World.
First question - WHY!, well one of the issues with the Warbringer Nemesis Titan (in AT) is the single fire blast weapon either the Mori-Quake Cannon or Belicosa Volcano Cannon, so, with the Sunfury Plasma Annihilator I would have 4 shots - with the option for maximal fire, which could be focused at a point of damage on the enemy titan, very deadly especially with a high starting strength! But sacrificing the longer range of the other two (official) options.

I've utilised a 'spare' Sunfury Plasma Annihilator to chop up to utilise on the Warbringer Nemesis. I was keen to have another option for the Titan, but also I always felt the Sunfury would look better on my Warbringer with the converted Plasma generators on the back of the Titan.
I've painted the Sunfury in the same style as my other Sunfury Plasma Annihilator weapons for my Warlord Titan so that it links.
The conversion saw major work on the rear, the weapon is flipped, and then had the rear modified to sit closer to the main body by removing some of the length from the generator based at the back which housed the plasma coils, these were added to the side of the generator. The connecting cables were chopped and added to add detail to the unit.
I am not sure how this would fare in battle, I'll see if the team at the Titan Owners Club will let me test it out!

Legio Crucius - Warlord Titan - Belicosa Volcano Cannon - Done!

 Hello one and all!

This week has seen the completion of the additional Warlord Belicosa weapon, ready for the weekend walk... (where could that be... (cough, section 6 at Fest..))

This has been painted akin to the other Warlord weapons, utilsing a metallic black, and white for the colours for Legio Crucius. The weapon end has been finished with different washes to demonstrate the hear effect.

Lets see how many engine kills I'll get over the weekend! LH (10pts)

Here is the family pic before they get packed up  into transport..

The Knights of Ryza March! Centaur Knight Lancer - Complete!

Hello one and all! A few weeks of absence hopefully makes the heart grow fonder? maybe. I've been busy with a combination of work/stuff and also projects! Inlcuding this one that is now 'finished'.
This is a Knight Centaur Lancer, utilising several kits to produce these results. The Lancer is of course, the Forge World model, with the lower portion a 3D kit bought from a well known auction site. I believe it is by 'themakerscult' and it is a beautiful, glorious kit. The lancer shield is from Taro Model Maker, and the base was from a seller on Ebay.
The knight is from the house 'Dominus de Ryza' latin, for Lords of Ryza, the Knights are a supporting house for my Crucius Titans.
The kit was great to put together, you need a lot of patience to get the legs correct, (dry fit/try/try/test) as they the legs have several parts and need to line up correctly for the model to stand, I built the model with all the panels removed so that I could paint it in subsections - the armour, the weapons, the endoskeleton, shield.
The knight endoskeleton was painted black, then highlighted up with silver and greys. The armour was initially undercoated white, then I applied XV-88 to add depth. The armour was then sprayed with 5/6 coats of an Orange pearlescent colour. this was allowed to dry prior to each new coat. I then taped the model to then spray a matt black on to the armour panels to add contrast.
The spear was picked out with blue hues, to again add contrast to the orange/black I've also used blue as a spot colour for the wires across the model. Verdigris has been applied to all 'copper/bronze' areas to add a sense of age to the knight. The model had had LED's installed into the head, I am just waiting on a battery pack to then be able to get them lit- these are 2mm Orange LEDS.
I've also applied home made decals to the Knight, I used photoshop to create the heraldic symbol, utilising an image I found on google for the house symbol - a horse head with a partial cog around it.
I need to add the knight name to the shield banner, but this will be done once the other Knights are added to the house.

Legio Crucius - Warbringer Nemesis Titan - Röntgen Walks!

Hello All!

As you might remember I had a task on my hands to get the Warbringer ready for the Titan Owners Club walk during August, Well apart from the missing parts that I am still waiting on, the titan is 95% complete, with only some details left on the weapons.
I've added my homebrewed decals, and will be adding more to complete the Warbringer.
The Belicosa and generators are converted, from the Warlord weapon, and 2 plasma generators. I feel this add more to the rear of the titan, I am planning to add cabling to connect the parts.
So why Röntgen? Firstly as a diagnostic radiographer, I am paying homage to the founder of Ionising Radiation - X-rays, also, with the fact I've opted for the reactor draining 3 Volcano Cannon configuration (known as a Wingrove set up after our pal at Titan Owners Club who always catastrophically meltsdown!) which are likely to result in some serious reactor damage caused by shooting them all!

Will post more once the titan is fully complete! But as it's FW small pipe pieces we are waiting for, we call this Complete, LH (60pts)

Legio Crucius - Mori Quake Cannon Conversion for Warlord Titan

Hello one and all,

Thank you for stopping by!

I’ve recently completed my converted Mori Quake Cannon for the Warlord Titan. For this conversion, I used the Mori Quake Cannon from the Warbringer Nemesis Titan carapace and a Sunfury Plasma Annihilator cannon from the Warlord Titan, plus the gun shield from the Warlord Bellicosa Volcano Cannon. This seems insane to do, however I am doing a second conversion to be shown soon with the offcuts.
For the weapon I removed the ‘elbow’ connection point from the Sunfury Plasma Annihilator, and prepared this to be added to the cannon. Next up was to sand down and flatten the top point of the Mori Quake Cannon to allow the elbow to be pinned into place. Parts of the Mori Quake Cannon were chopped and changed to fit around the new joint.
For the ammo magazine, I used the 2 ammo boxes from the Warbringer Nemesis Quake Cannon kit, and pinned them together flipped at 90 degrees – I used the AT quake cannon as inspiration and guidance here. These fit really nicely into the main body, I also pinned this into place. I chopped up the rear section and lower support to fit the new ammo box for both ascetics and also to add additional support.
The Mori Quake has 2 curved sections to fit the gun carriage, for the inner section I added a part from a plasma generator plastic kit- a servo skull section which fits nicely into space.
For the outer section I added the gun shield from the Bellicosa Volcano Cannon kit.
The weapon was painted akin to the other Warlord weapons, with decals added for Legio Crucius.

Now I have 2 loadouts for the warlord, the first 2 Sunfury Plasma Annihilators for close range combat, or the second a Mori Quake Cannon and Bellicosa Volcano Cannon for a long range monster!

I am really happy with how the weapon looks, I am sure there will be a Mori Quake Cannon available soon, I was keen to have had the weapon as an option for the proposed 2020 UK Titan Walk - however this event was postponed due to the covid-19 situation.

Titan Weapons - Warlord and Reaver

Hello one and all!

This week I've completed a couple of additional weapons for both the Reaver titans, and my Warlord.

Reaver - Dreadfire configuration
I've completed a set of warlord apoc missile launchers for use on my Reavers. This is an opd Epic version, utilising 3 missile pods. I've added a bolt into the weapon, to then screw into place through the shoulder. We will be using house rules for these if, and when I use this set up.
I am happy with the look, I think it would have been better if the missiles were horizonal, rather than vertical, however this would involve a huge conversion on each arm.

Backup plan is to use the missiles on my next warlord (if and when that happens..)

Warlord - Belicosa
The Belicosa volcano cannon has been completed with a similar style to the other volcano weapons in the legion. I've added heat detail to the barrel of the weapon using blue, purple, orange then finally yellow inks. A home made symbol decal has been added to the gun shield.

Thanks for stopping by! LH Annual Painting - 20pts (10 for belicosa, 5 for each missile pod)
