Chaos Daemons - Greater Daemon of Nurgle - Great Unclean One #2

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by, this is scheduled as I am away. I have another great offering to the Chaos Gods, a disgusting and resilient one, an embodiment of Papa Nurgle itself - a second Great Unclean One.
This was an eBay purchase which I have added some washes too and some details, plus redoing the base to match my own bases. The use of the Rotigus tentacles arm was a nice touch to make it look different from the flail armed GUO.
I added Agrax to the lower half of the miniature and a lot of sand and gravel to the base before repainting it. I also added some green wash to the folds of skin to get it similar to the current GUO and Scabeiathrax FW resin GUO I already have.
The previous owner did a nice subtle conversion to add the large Plague Sword as well as the Plague Dagger.
I really enjoyed this process, and have a Rotigus kit yet to do. I may attempt that following the same process as my first GUO, and changing the washes slightly for a different finish.

Cheers, Siph

Deathwatch - Primaris Intercessor Squad - Done!

Hello one and all!

This week's offering is a five man, Primaris Intercessor squad - these are 3D printed models from a well known site, with plastic arms, weapons and head added.

I've opted to have all 5 as Dark Angels, weird yes, but I always like the old lore about Dark Angels looking for the fallen - not a thing now, and that they were part of the Deathwatch, however they were really hunting for their prey.

The scheme is as per my normal style, these guys have more chains which have been picked out in metal, so they have a darker appearance.

The bases are again from a well known site, 'tactical rocks for all'

Pretty happy with how these turned out! LH (5pts)

Horus Heresy 30K - Death Guard - Primarch Mortarion, The Pale King

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I have been away for a while unable to do any hobbying, however, whilst away I commissioned Den of Imagination to buy, construct, and paint The Pale King, Primarch Mortarion, father of the Death Guard Legion Space Marines, Child of Death, Lord of Death, Lord of Contagion.
I'm not sponsored so this is an honest review - Den of Imagination did a great job, superb service, good communication and photos were sent with feedback from me taken and the painted re-touched a few bits. Postage and packing was through FedEx and I got a very smooth service when compared to a previous commission service - so I would thoroughly recommend them if you have more money than time! I hope this inspires me to progress with the Death Guard forces, I have only the Primus Medicae done so far.
A great job was done on the pale cloak, I re-painted the censers myself after giving the go ahead but on receipt I fancied a more brassy look to them, I also added a spot of colour on the Manreaper "Silence" battle scythe power blade, and some Stirland Mud on the base to complete the job and match with the Primus Medicae.
The base is magnetised, the front (shown as the right upper base piece above) is removeable, and Den of Imagination added magnets to secure the piece.
I love the pale face of the Pale King, and the artist followed by recipe I gave for the rest of the force yet to come, so this will fit in nicely and lead the fledgling future force.
Here is the magnetised base, the playable base is also magnetised underneath to the main base, this ensures a nice firm display base.
The only piece I really added to the commission job was the blue power blade to the Manreaper "Silence" battle Scythe, using my recipe from the Custodes Power Blades. This adds a nice spot colour to an otherwise (rightly) drab miniature. And a few tufts of grass and the Stirland Mud to match the future force's scheme.

Primarch Mortarion will look over the Death Guard as the forces grow in the future...

Cheers, Siph.

Belisarius Cawl - Done

Hello one and all,

Another week, another model off the 'to do pile' this has been sat for a while!

Cawl has been painted in a 'Ryza' style with cream robes, with orange parts to nod towards the Ryza scheme of my Titans. The model has been based on a 3D printed Reaver Titan head, painted in the style of Mortis of a well known Titan Owner (maybe from Battle Bunnies).

The model has tackled in sub parts due to the nature of the model, and has come together really well - I'm Really happy with the look! LH (10pts)

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Dreadnought #7

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I am scheduling these posts again as I return overseas. This is the seventh of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. A longer-range Dual Lascannon and a Dreadnought CC weapon variety, this one attached to my 4th Company.
Re-armed from the Goddenzilla Siege Dreadnought below
Here was the original with Dual Heavy Flamers and a Heavy Flamer under the CC Weapon
I fully repainted the Dreadnought except the endo skeleton metals beneath. The base was spruced up with warmer browns and hints of vegetation.
The replacement arm was the Venerable Dreadnought Lascannon but with the elaborate muzzles removed and plain ones from a Land Raider swapped in, this is not meant to be a Venerable Brother, and the flashy muzzles I will use for a Custodes Land Raider project.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you are enjoying the old-school OOP Castraferrum Dreadnoughts in all their boxy glory!

Adeptus Mechanicus - Secutarii Peltasts - Squad #5

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. The fifth and final of my Commissioned Adeptus Mechanicus Secutarii Peltast Squads.
The Alpha with yellow and gold pauldrons and Galvanic Caster and pointing out the next designated target is pictured in the centre. I added gold to the central pauldron to make it more noticeable. They also sports a crested helm, a subtle denotation of rank.
Secutarii Peltasts use their flexible galvanic casters to engage all manner of enemies. This electro-galvanically driven, multi-function projectile launcher has a variety of firing modes, each suited to a different target.

I am enjoying adding these to my Adeptus Mechanicus Army, its growing quite large with troops and God Engines - just one more squad of Secutarii Hoplites to finish off the bases to blend with my existing ones and paint the Ad Mech symbol on the backpacks.

Cheers, Siph.
