Squaduary 2026 - COMPLETED - Relictors Chapter Primaris Intercessors

Well, thats another Squaduary February hobby challenge for myself wrapped up. A successful month with a Titan Walk, some titan weapons and more importantly, a Squad of Primaris Intercessors which were languishing around since the release of First Strike boxed game back at the start of Primaris releases!
I removed the Sergeant helmet from the waistband, and added pouches in its place, added a disc to raise the helmet slightly and painted in codex compliant Red to denote his rank.
These two identical Marines (First Strike sprue had 3 different marines only) have had a Reiver arm replacement with combat blade and scabbard, whilst the Auspex holding Marine is box standard. Head placement direction also makes a difference.
These two identical Marines have had different head placement, and a few changes to Purity Seals. Removing one from a Pauldron, adding once to the waist and Bolt Rifle.
Another Primaris Intercessor 5-man Squad to add to the extensive Relictors Battle Companies, and 5 less Marines on the to-do mountain!

Thanks for dropping by, cheers, Siph (5pts)

Deathwatch Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs - Done! Squaduary 2026

Hello one and all,

This week's offering is my poor attempt at Squaduary 26 - being that I've posted 0 about them! These guys have been sat on my desk base painted for ages, so Squaduary was a great time to get them done!
These have been completed with the same scheme, and additional 3D printed shoulder pauldrons and flame stacks for the base.
Really happy with the results, now just to try them in game!
I did try to make a cool AI picture with them - quite like it, thus might do this from now on for completed models!

Thanks for popping by! LH (5pts)

Deathwatch - Primaris Intercessor Squad - Done!

Hello one and all!

This week's offering is a five man, Primaris Intercessor squad - these are 3D printed models from a well known site, with plastic arms, weapons and head added.

I've opted to have all 5 as Dark Angels, weird yes, but I always like the old lore about Dark Angels looking for the fallen - not a thing now, and that they were part of the Deathwatch, however they were really hunting for their prey.

The scheme is as per my normal style, these guys have more chains which have been picked out in metal, so they have a darker appearance.

The bases are again from a well known site, 'tactical rocks for all'

Pretty happy with how these turned out! LH (5pts)

Relictors Space Marines - Primaris Intercessor Squad #2

Hello all, thanks for dropping by, I've finally gotten around to doing a little more of the Dark Imperium box set of Primaris Marines! Yes, I do take ages and yes the to-do pile is a mountain...
The Sergeant has a Codex compliant red helm, his squad number is noted on his knee armour.
The rest of the squad are identically armed with Bolt Rifles. I opt for grey Pauldron rims as these Primaris reinforcements will be attached to whichever Battle Company they are needed, and remain Codex compliant colours and schemes, not adopting the Company colours.  They have been painted my usual Relictors scheme, Uniform Grey from Army Painter is a match for Codex Grey, now Dawnstone. Washed Nuln Oil, highlighted Administratum Grey.
These are great monopose sculpts with most of the joins hidden in creases or under plate. Very nice addition to the Space Marine range and good reinforcements to my beleaguered Relictors Battle Companies.

Deathwatch - Primaris Intercessors

Hello one and all,

Another week sees the completion of a further five Deathwatch Primaris Space Marine Intercessors. These are done exactly the same style as previous Primaris Marines.
The Black Shield has, as mentioned last week, a different coloured Bolt Rifle, my vision here was that he was given this weapon as an award for previous campaigns. The Codex mentioned the "Primarch's Wrath" Bolt Rifle. Could this be the fabled weapon?

The other Primaris Marines have had all details picked as I did before. With highlights added to the arm, and various chapter icons detailed.
The helmet lenses have had a slight blue OSL 'glow' added.

Really happy with the result for these five Primaris Intercessors for my growing Deathwatch Space Marine army.

Deathwatch Update - Primaris Intercessors, Captain and a Leviathan Dreadnought!

Hello one and all!

I'm slowly getting into my 'to-do-pile' for my Deathwatch force. I've completed a 5 man Primaris Intercessors unit, a Primaris Captain and a Leviathan Dreadnought.

Primaris Intercessors
I've painted these with the same metallic black base, with edge highlights of thunderhawk blue to the raised sections. The weapons have been picked out in red, as I did for the previous vehicles adn dreadnoughts. The helmet eyes have been picked out with blue, having a slight glow around them using a lighter blue than that used for the lenses. I will be doing similar with power weapons.

Primaris Captain
The Primaris Captain is based on the store birthday model, I've opted for him being from the Imperial Fists - to tie this in I've coloured the inner cape to match the yellow of the shoulder pad. I spent a lot of time on the face, and happy with the eyes.

Leviathan Dreadnought
I decided to add some major firepower for the force with an addition of a Blood Angels Leviathan armed with 2 Storm cannons. I've tried to retain the look of the blood angels, whilst balancing it so that it looks deathwatch, more than death company. The details have been painted the same as the previous dreadnoughts, with an addition of a Blood Angels decal to the Right shoulder pad.

Really happy with all of these units, and they look great together!
Thanks for looking!  Cheers, Lord Halfpenny

Relictors Primaris Intercessor Squad #1

Hello All, thanks for checking out the post. These are the first of my Primaris troop choices, finally after much protracted thinking and re-writing the GW fluff in their absence of why Relictors would have Primaris reinforcements.  Dan Harden, staff at White Dwarf, gave me the go-ahead advice, rule of cool overules rules...
The first one was a repaint of the fledgling Scythes of the Emperor I started and just didn't click, so I reverted to my beloved Relictors. I chose codex compliant colours for the Sergeant helmet, and I will be leaving the shoulder Pauldron trim as grey rather than Company colours as these will be Chapter generic not Company specific assets.
The first two troopers, I love the clean lines of the Primaris sculpts, they are quite easy to paint and refreshing. The right-hand Marine was also the other Scythe of the Emperor.
Nothing different with the remaining two Marines, done my usual Relictors scheme, Uniform Grey from Army Painter is a match for Codex Grey, now Dawnstone. Washed Nuln Oil, highlighted Administratum Grey.
Here is the squad on the battlefield, standard 'command arm' with the Sergeant, haha. I have the rest of the Dark Imperium box set to get through now I've finally committed to a scheme!

Cheers, Siph. (5pts - Troops)

Primaris Intercessors and Reivers from First Strike

Hello All, following on from last week's First Strike Boxset forces of Chaos, this week is the remaining boxset on the loyalist side. I know, very similar to my Relictors grey scheme, but not quite, more like Revilers with the grey pauldrons, anyway I digress... I finished off the box for my Wargaming Professionals and as asked, did a Navy spin to them with Battleship Grey Marines and Desert Camouflage Marines with Green Berets!

Primaris Intercessors
I really enjoyed the familiar grey scheme, more of that in a future post regarding the Primaris and Relictors being excommunicate etc.... I'm seeking clarification from GW after a few things I've seen in the official publications... anyway, this Marine is holding an Auspex, I detailed the screen with radar blips and used Skeleton Horde for the parchment. The Bolt Rifle received attention to the scope and 'laser optic'? Primaris are soo easy and quick to paint, a dream after the enjoyable but ever-so detailed Plague Marines!
The standard Marine, I used my usual colours on the Bolt Rifle, brassy magazine for a spot of colour, black casing for ease of painting, and chose Black Rims on the bevel edge with 'Ardcoat to protect them from non-wargamer usage!
The Sergeant not wearing his helmet as usual, the face was easy with Kislev Flesh, Reikland Wash and Kislev highlights, his hair styled on my own :) obviously! haha.
Navy Marines proudly displaying the White Ensign

Primaris Reivers
The Reivers were painted with Zandri Dust basecoat, washed Agrax and highlighted with Karak Stone. Then the details applied. I chose to keep the pouches a leather brown, Mornfang washed Nuln Oil and a line highlight of Balor Brown.
I went for a desert style colour to differentiate from the Intercessors and more suiting for the Anvil Industry's Beret Heads with Respirators so the guys with the big knives can proudly wear their Green Berets! More fitting to reflect the IRL colours of the Bootneck's daily working uniform MTP.
The Sergeant has a Bionic Eye and a halo marking on this knee and the comms bracelet on the forearm.
The two line trooper Reivers both have full face respirators. All have the grey 'Chapter' grey White Ensign pauldron on the left shoulder, and these have the Assault marking and squad number on the right pauldron. All have a plethora of pouches and grenades and I painted the casing of the Heavy Bolt Pistol in desert colours too, to look more tactical.
There you go, an enjoyable side project to sate the hobby butterfly and get the cogs whirling for my future Primaris forces. The are quite easy and fairly fast to paint, Intercessors anyway, clean lines and smooth uncluttered plates.

Cheers for looking, Siph. (6 points)
