Chaos Daemons - Pink Horrors of Tzeentch

Hello one and all,

I've had some time away with work in hotels, so I picked my trusty case with models and paint, and finished a unit of Pink Horrors (and next weeks post too).

These were painted the same as my other 2 units of 10, just with different coloured tongues to make out the units in combat.
The pink was achieved with a base coat of Emperor's Children Pink over a white base, with then a wash of Carroburg Crimson.
A nice bright unit to go with my daemon force.

Cheers, Lord Halfpenny (10 points to the annual painting total)

WIP Pink Horrors and Inquisitor Greyfax

Hello one and all!

Having had a few days away with work, I opted to take some models with me to my hotel to paint, rather than spend all night in the hotel bar!

Pink Horrors

I've painted these the same as my other 2 units, with a different colour for the tongue to make the units stand out. I've used gold for the bracelets and blue for the flames on them. To finish is some further details etc.
Inquisitor Greyfax

I've had this model for a while, and decided to give her some love. Working over a silver base the model has had gold detailing added, as well as details picked out with red for the Inquisitor 'I' The cape was painted with a purple hue, which was painted in different thickness' to try to add depth to the cape. I've also added a nod to my wife's favourite shoes - With red soles added in tribute to her Christian Louboutin's. (Ah, a worthy visage on the tabletop of the long haired Admiral Halfpenny! - Siph)
Thanks for looking! LH

Chaos Daemons - Tzeentch 40k Additions

Hi One and All,

I've recently spent some time working on building up new units for the WHW battle with Siph (post to come) and here are the Tzeentch additions to my daemon 40k army.

Lord Of Change

This model I decided to convert so that the Rod was in the right hand, instead of the left - I really like the way the profile of the model now has a slight nod to the original LoC model. The model had a Macragge Blue basecoat, and then had several washes and dry brushes to highlight the model. The wings had a base coat of green to the outer edges, with these wings highlighted with goblin green.
Definitely my favourite of the head options - I opted to go for a bone skull finish, which really pops with the blue!
3 Burning Chariots of Tzeentch

These were all painted with a similar scheme, with a slightly different blue finish.
Fateweaver

This model had a lighter blue basecoat using an old can of Army Painter blue. The tips of the wings were base coated with Zandri Dust, and then washed with red, the plan was for Fateweaver to have a very different look to that of the LoC.
The text in the book was painted freehand, with different symbols and legends.
3 Flamers, 10 Pink Horrors and a Fluxmaster

These were painted as per my other units, the flamers were bought from a well know auction site, with me completing the bases to fit with the army.
Screamers of Tzeentch

2 units of Screamers, one 6 man unit, and one 9 man. I wanted to have the units very different and to stand out from one another. The 9 man unit was bought ages ago, and are the old metal models. These had been painted a range of colours. I decided to paint them the same, with a theme, I wanted them to be red to stand out from the blue unit, and seeing there was 9 in the unit I opted for a very 'British' scheme - behold my 'Screaming Red Arrows...
The new units on the battle board.
Thanks for Looking! Up next week - Disgustingly Resilient amounts of Nurgle reinforcements...

Cheers, Lord Halfpenny

Chaos 'Pink' Horrors Commission by Rob at 30Kplus40k

Rob at 30Kplus40K messaged me a long while ago reference experimenting with possible commission work and when I replied, I said I'd be interested in getting some Daemons done and as it was Rob's first commission, I'd seen his own work, so gave him free reign in how they were painted. I specified that i'd do the bases to match my own and that the Pink Horrors should reflect the madness of Tzeentch.
What could be more mad than green 'pink' horrors! Love it. The tongues are all vibrant different colours and the feathers also. I particularly liked the flame effect morphing from the flesh.
This was the second squad of this initial commission work, done very speedily and value for money to a great standard. The Daemonettes he did for me can be found HERE.
And the Daemons I have so far look like this, a riot of colour, far removed from the grey monotone Relictors army who will be summoning them from the Warp. (for those who don't know - Relictors fluff says they use Chaos to fight Chaos, much to the ire of the Inquisition!
Thanks for dropping by to have a look-see. Cheers, Siph (currently painting some more grey marines...)
