Hello Readers, thanks for dropping in again. Here is my latest addition to the Relictors Armoury, an Anti-Aircraft Hunter Tank, armed with the quite decent Skyspear Missile system.
This is based on a Rhino APC but with side panels containing hydraulic rams to steady the platform for missile release, I've painted it my usual Relictors Codex Grey (Dawnstone) over a black undercoat, washed with Nuln Oil and highlighted with Fortress Grey (Administratum Grey).
The Skyspear missile system allows you to shoot and damage most flyers easily with high strength and Skyfire but as an added bonus, if you miss, the missile has a 'Savant Lock' rule, so it is like a homing missile, it follows the target for the next turns and on a roll of +5, it hits the targets rear armour, unless the target leaves the battlefield, what a fun characterful rule I can't wait to try out!
I love the barrel muzzle of the Skyspear, it looks the business!
And a characterful shot on the terrain, for those who don't like plain white backgrounds ;)
And another shot next to the other AA tank, the Stalker I did previously, I know most people will probably magnetize theirs to do both options on one hull, but this was a present so I lucked in. The only part you only get one of which is needed on both kits is the triple aerial assembly - which you can live without on the Stalker turret.
And lastly, the Skyspear Missile token which you place next to the target if you miss it! The kit comes with a spare missile so you can make this token using some wire and a spare base, better than a coin as suggested by GW.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you like my latest addition. I started this before my pledge to reduce my painting pile, so it doesn't quite count towards my 6MMRPC goal.

Relictors Stalker AA Tank
Well, I am away again at sea - so in the meantime here is a few pics of the latest offering completed before I departed. A Relictors Space Marine Stalker Anti-Air Tank. I love the model and the rules, much needed AA for the Codex Marines! I chose the Stalker over the Hunter as I love the idea of a 'WW2 Flak Tank' in the 41st Millennium, so here it is in it's glory.
Mean looking rhino don't you think - love the multi-barrelled Stalker Autocannons, and either TL or fire at two separate flyers with a BS2 penalty makes it versatile. Against a Stormraven, I'd recommend the other Hunter as it is S7 Armourbane and if misses, next turn it has another chance to seek-and-destroy. So, I'll get one of those next!

Finally, for those wondering, it is magnetised so the guns rotate. And if you wanted - from one kit, youcan easily magnetize the Hunter or Stalker parts for either on a single chassis - the only part that is required for both weapon ounts is the small aerial assembly - otherwise you can have both weapons from one boxset. I sold my Hunter bits on ebay for a tidy amount that will go towards the next Hunter/Stalker model!
Thanks for reading and I'll be back in due course with some more Relictor and Necron goodies. Take care.

Welcome Home Siph! - Ooh Pressies!
Well, I'm finally back from sea and decided to treat myself to some new purchases, darn it GW... my plastic crack habit bites the wallet again and my Necrons will play second fiddle again to the newest miniatures on the block...
I bought myself a Stalker/Hunter, some Centurions and a Tactical Squad - for the new Grav Weapons and one or two new poses. How I'm gonna justify a 11th squad of Battle Brothers I don't know! ;) And waiting for me was the gamers edition of Apoc with the massive Vortex Grenande carry case! Anyone else missing the Formation Cards... I got the amended Daemon ones in the post but don't yet have the originals they replace?
I'm glad 6thDegree and Lord H have been keeping me upto date with their respective projects whilst i've been away and now the Weeman trophy resides up North for a while... Well, hello avid readers, I'm back for a few weeks so hope to get some weemen painted and posted before I disappear back to sea to go hunt for pirates... and sunken ships, I kid you not!

Possible new Space Marines?
I've been reading some of the various sites, and have pulled some of the images together with some of my thoughts..
firstly, the new 'proposed' tank- I'm guessing this will be a AA weapon system- I really like the look of the tank, and I can see the armour being used on other tanks- whirlwind/vindicator etc.
Next we have the proposed new 'bigger than a terminator' space marine inside a space marine.. or as I like to call them termie-tubbies. I like the look of the devastator versions, but not to sure on the assault ones- looking at the weapon load outs, the dev's appear to have lascannon/heavybolter weapons, with what looks like a missile system in their chests- the assault guys look to have similar weapons to the siege 'fist' that FW produces for dreadnoughts.
How would these play on the filed? my thoughts are that these would be instead of a dreadnought, hopefully with a high toughness, and maybe 2 wounds- these could become a very nasty uber unit, which could retire the normal dev and assault marines..
we have new HQ choices, with a new captain, librarian and chaplain- the captain is very similar to the captain from AoBR, with a different weapon and 'Scirarius' helmet. The chaplain looks ok, however I do like the new Librarian- very similar pose to Stormcaller- as if he is 'shooting' his rod out at the enemy- this release appears to be the release of the 'beard'.
Next up is the proposed new vanguard box- firstly I'm glad of the weapons on the box, so I don't need to re-do my vanguards! which was always a fear, these guys look to have a wide range of wargear, and I hope that these are more than one option for each available in the box- if its plastic..
There are also several rumours about the potential release of several limited release codex's- the next month could be an expense one..
Please note-These images were found via google.
