Chaos Daemons - Flesh Hounds of Khorne

Hello all, thanks for dropping by. I added five more Flesh Hounds of Khorne to my existing five Hounds. Some head swaps between the set meant no two hounds were the same.
I followed the same scheme as the first five. Contrast paints over Wraithbone primer, Flesh Tearers Red and Shyish Purple. The vanes around the head were picked out with Squig Orange and the Claws Eshin Grey, Dawnstone and Fortress Grey.
The Collar of Khorne was Brazen Brass, highlighted Fulgrite Copper and washed Agrax to dull it back down. I love the variation in colour of the Shyish Purple, Contrast Paints are ideal for organics.
The spikes and tail blades were Shyish Purple over the Fleshtearers Red. The tongue also Squig Orange and the teeth Ushabti Bone and contrast Skeleton Horde. The final touch was a little Nihilakh Oxide on the Brass Collar and the bases my usual recipe of Mournfang Brown, drybrushed Karak Stone and Ushabti Bone. Tufts were from Gamers Grass.
And now the whole pack, hopefully they will be quick enough and robust enough to get across the field and tear into the enemy!

Chaos Daemons - Flesh Hounds of Khorne

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. I have completed my first of a couple of packs of Khorne Flesh Hounds, to accompany Karanak and the second pack will ensure at least some will survive the shooting phase to close with the enemy! A major weakness in Chaos Daemon armies.
These were a cinch to paint using the Contrast paints over Wraithbone primer, Flesh Tearers Red and Shyish Purple. The vanes around the head were picked out with Squig Orange and the Claws Eshin Grey, Dawnstone and Fortress Grey.

A great little kit, the next pack will have the heads mixed around so no carbon-copies. Fairly simple but effective, I love the contrast paints for these Daemons.

Chaos Daemons - Karanak, The Hound of Vengeance

Hello All, thanks for dropping by, the latest addition to my Chaos Daemon incursion, I painted a named Character, Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance!
From GW "Ever watchful, ever hungry, Karanak is the physical manifestation of the Blood God’s wrathful vengeance. Once he has the scent of his quarry, this tireless predator will not cease in his hunt until he tastes their torn flesh between his fangs". So, I'm looking forward to launching across the battlefield to slake his thirst!
He is a quite quick and decent Melee choice alongside some Flesh Hounds of Khorne, he also has the ability with the Brass Collar of Khorne, to deny up to two Psychic Powers, as Khorne cannot abide witches!
This was my first time doing some flames, which I think turned out quite effective - many people forget that the brightest colours are within, not at the end. The main colour for the Hound is Contrast Flesh Tearers Red, over Wraithbone. The contrast line don't work well on Power Armour (imho) but excel on organics such as these skin textures. The teeth are Skeleton Horde, the spikes over the red base with some Syish Purple contrast.
The Brass Collar was finished off with some Fulgrite Copper and some Nihilakh Oxide. Quick and effective paint job, I can't wait to do the Flesh Hounds now. A fast choice and decent in Melee is what my daemons need more of, getting there is the hardest against the firepower of the 8th Edition armies.

Cheers, Siph (10pts Character)
