Legio Astorum - Forge World Reaver Titan No. 3516 - Incaeduus Prime Walks!

Hello Titanseers and All, thanks for dropping by. I have completed the Reaver 3516 project re-paint. Incaeduus Prime Walks for Legio Astorum! Great posing by previous owner Andy B, and a repaint completed into Legio Astorum colours.
A Chainfist (3D print as FW one is long OOP)
Love the lifting foot, still a rock solid pose, the lifting foot has a screw to share the load so its not all in the toe joint.
Fearsome Melta Cannon and a Vulcan Mega Bolter to strip the shields and do some awesome damage before finishing off with the Chainfist, Incaeduus Prime is going to be a brawler!
Fully magnetised for ease of transport to Titan Owners Club Walk events.
Arm is magnetised at armpit and weapon so can be swapped out with either Reaver Power Fist or more ranged weapons.
The striped carapace in place of the striped kneepad the FW artwork has.
Scratches and kill markings adorn the Chainfist
The kneepad is a departure from the FW artwork, honouring the previous Legio. Hence, the carapace stripes.
Eye sensors preserved behind plexiglass
A great dynamic pose for closing the enemy and smiting them!
And the Corsair Maniple grows, one more to make a full Corsair Maniple, pictured here with (L to R), Honorum, Incaeduus Prime and Aquila Occulus.

Legio Astorum - Forge World Reaver Titan No. 3516 - Legs and Base

Hello Titanseers, thanks for dropping by. Work on Reaver 3516 'Incaeduus Prime' continues and good progress has been made with main torso completed, the legs are already constructed and pinned and the armour firmly in place so its been quite an effort to paint in-situ. Seen above one leg done, the right leg yet to lose it's Defensor colours.
The base has been cut from 6mm MDF, sealed with MDF sealant and PVA glued sand mixture. Recesses underneath will house the screw head and washers. The base has had tracing around the feet marked out and scored ready to accept the glue when the titan is added. The underside has furniture teflon coasters added to allow smooth movement with ease on the Titan Owners Club battle mat at Walks and aids picking it up. Bases are completely optional but I use them for stability and strength, forming a triangle of leg-leg-base making legs rigid and stronger than if left without.
I used a pillow whilst re-painting the legs so I didn't have to hold the substantial weight for long periods.
The knees will be added when painting the armour has been completed. I have preserved some of the former Legio heraldry, Legio Defensor, I do this with all my second-hand transferred titans - now reacquisition for Legio Astorum. This is a departure from the Imperial Armour scheme for Incaeduus Prime, where the kneecap is striped yellow and blue but I will paint the stripes on half the rear carapace instead.
And here is the completed legs structure attached to the base. The feet are glued and screwed to the base for a super strong hold. An excellent pose by the former owner Andy B. And now immortalised in the Defensor/Astorum kneecap.
Next post will be the final reveal. And the next project is the other Reaver 009 to complete the Corsair Maniple.

Chaos Daemons - Nurgle Great Unclean One - Done!

Hello one and all! Up this week is for review is a 3d printed, Great Unclean One! with an additional Relictor!
This model was printed on my P1S, as 2 parts, body and base - and then painted up ready to bring the Nurgle's Rot to the opposition!
The GUO was based sprayed with Grey as a base, then black, then a slight highlight spray from above in grey again for highlights. To give a different appearance to my other GUO, the model was painted in Ork Flesh contrast paint, several thick coats have added definition to the model. Details were then picked out.
I really like how the 2 yellow boil's and the mouth look like a face, and that the daemon is actually inside its Torso - this works as well due to the lack of any character around the face,
... and of course the dying Relictor.

Legio Astorum - Forge World Reaver Titan No. 3516 - Torso Done

Hello Titanseers and all, thanks for dropping by. The continued progress on the Reaver "Incaeduus Prime" is nearing the end result. I've completed the main torso section now, adjusting the Imperial Armour scheme yellow and blue stripes from the knee to the rear carapace due to the preserving the former Defensor logo on the kneecap.
Completed stripes
Hidden decal work on the front armour panel, this is hidden by the main carapace armour (original concept of the Reaver had a cutaway here so this decal would have been visible but design change to prevent 'bullet catching' cutaway means this detail is now hidden).
Main carapace with decal scriptwork and Legio Astorum heraldry.
The carapace will have a Vulcan Mega Bolter, not available through Forge World so a 3D printed one was made.
Magnetised of course so if the ranged loadout is used for the arms I can place an Apocalypse Missile Launcher instead.
Underside detail too, access hatch and AdMech symbols add some colour to these parts. Waist is magnetised for transport ease. Nearly completed re-paint, will post completed titan soon. Legs to go, painting armour in situ takes longer than usual...

Cheers, Princeps Siph
