Terrain and Scenery - Large Gothic Building to hide Titans

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. I have a few of the Pegasus Hobbies Gothic Buildings but I regulary attend Titan Owners Club Titan Walks where we battle our 28mm scale Forge World Titans, so that means making some scenery that can hide Titans to make it more akin to Adeptus Titanicus with cover rather than a duck hunt.
I picked up three of the Pegasus Hobbies Large Gothic Building sets, mapped out on paper what tiles I would require and what was the largest building I could make. I added a set of corner ruins and 5x5x3 was the biggest.
This was put together to take advantage of the corner pieces to show a blasted building corner.
The front of the building is quite imposing!
The real test, was it big enough for hiding Titans... yep.
I added magnets to the corners and pillars for quick assembly and disassembly, leaving a few of the locator lugs present but sanded down to act as guides not physical wedges. The magnets 5mm disc x 3mm thickness, each with a pull of 0.76KG and super effective for this.
I painted the door, added an Aquila above the opposite door, added some scale propaganda posters and painted with Storm Vermin Spray, drybrushed and chaos black burnt section.
Using some foamcard cut to size and the supports that come with the buildings I added a few floors and scored 'planks' to add some texture.
Quite effective at bulking out the building
Simple floors but effective
And to aid storage at home inbetween Walks, its flat pack in 20secs.
Job done

Relictors Space Marines - Primaris Intercessor Squad #2

Hello all, thanks for dropping by, I've finally gotten around to doing a little more of the Dark Imperium box set of Primaris Marines! Yes, I do take ages and yes the to-do pile is a mountain...
The Sergeant has a Codex compliant red helm, his squad number is noted on his knee armour.
The rest of the squad are identically armed with Bolt Rifles. I opt for grey Pauldron rims as these Primaris reinforcements will be attached to whichever Battle Company they are needed, and remain Codex compliant colours and schemes, not adopting the Company colours.  They have been painted my usual Relictors scheme, Uniform Grey from Army Painter is a match for Codex Grey, now Dawnstone. Washed Nuln Oil, highlighted Administratum Grey.
These are great monopose sculpts with most of the joins hidden in creases or under plate. Very nice addition to the Space Marine range and good reinforcements to my beleaguered Relictors Battle Companies.

Chaos Daemons - Flesh Hounds of Khorne

Hello all, thanks for dropping by. I added five more Flesh Hounds of Khorne to my existing five Hounds. Some head swaps between the set meant no two hounds were the same.
I followed the same scheme as the first five. Contrast paints over Wraithbone primer, Flesh Tearers Red and Shyish Purple. The vanes around the head were picked out with Squig Orange and the Claws Eshin Grey, Dawnstone and Fortress Grey.
The Collar of Khorne was Brazen Brass, highlighted Fulgrite Copper and washed Agrax to dull it back down. I love the variation in colour of the Shyish Purple, Contrast Paints are ideal for organics.
The spikes and tail blades were Shyish Purple over the Fleshtearers Red. The tongue also Squig Orange and the teeth Ushabti Bone and contrast Skeleton Horde. The final touch was a little Nihilakh Oxide on the Brass Collar and the bases my usual recipe of Mournfang Brown, drybrushed Karak Stone and Ushabti Bone. Tufts were from Gamers Grass.
And now the whole pack, hopefully they will be quick enough and robust enough to get across the field and tear into the enemy!

Terrain and Scenery - Void Shield Generator

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. A rather long project completed, I started this during the Dreadtober challenge and boy did it take a while, so much surface detail and fiddly bits and gubbins needing some attention - but with the use of some Fleshtearers Red contrast over the Leadbelcher base it actually looks great.
These were a limited resin run that scalpers ruined before GW then released again in plastic, this one is the plastic model. I see it is still listed on the GW website but out of stock and webstore exclusive, so maybe it will come back for sale at some point.
I quite enjoyed the base, trying to pick out the details in bright colours to make more of a feature than normal quick drybrushed terrain, but after a while I regretted my decision and the four towers each with full four sides was labour and time intensive, but I think in the end it is worth it, it does look great.
The Void Projectors I followed the idea from the box art and added blue, which I echoed on the main generator hub and in the four towers with lamps and some small lightning globes.
No idea why they think and exposed Servitor here is a good idea...
The opposite side has another Servitor, this time actually using his/her wasted arm for keyboard typing...
A quick and effective lightning effect looks great when repeated on the four globes. Temple Guard Blue and Baharroth Blue over Kantor Blue base.
Someone who looks like they enjoy their job slaved to the machine...
A cool piece of terrain to add to my collection, I will look forward to making it part of the narrative on my next battlefield set up. For more ideas and examples of terrain click on the label in sidebar or HERE

Lord TITANium Halfpenny - Games Room updates

 Hello one and all!

A quick update, I have finally taken delivery of the missing parts to the warbringer, these parts all ready to be soaked, and then completed.

I've also started work on the damaged knight lancers of my collection following a unit failure which resulted in mass destruction. This has given me an oppotunity to redo the lights and get them fixed into position rather than with tape.

Finally, the games table is up and ready, I am planning on having the table either 'game ready' or as a large table for building/painting terrain or titans, I also have some battle tiles that I could use, there are also plans for a build 4x6 table with full trench system.. watch this space!

Cheers, LH
