Chaos Daemons - Soul Grinder of Slaanesh

Hello All, thanks for dropping by, continuing my daemon offerings this year, today a Soul Grinder of Slaanesh, the alignment to Slaanesh gives the Quicksilver ability to fight first in CC, so with his high toughness and lethal close combat weapons he should be a threat to most.
I used contrast paints on the flesh, Magos Flesh and Shyish Purple for the darker purple weapon. The armour panels were Daemonette Hide and washed Magos Flesh finished with some old transfers from a CSM decal sheet.
The mechanical bits were basecoated Leadbelcher and washed Nuln Oil and some Agrax and the pistons picked out with Stormhost Silver and grimed with Chestnut Ink.
The Soul Grinder has a Harvester Cannon and a Mawcannon as well as the fearsome close combat abilities.
He looks angry...
A nice addition to the Daemons Incursion who needed some high toughness and some ranged firepower.

Deathwatch Update - Primaris Intercessors, Captain and a Leviathan Dreadnought!

Hello one and all!

I'm slowly getting into my 'to-do-pile' for my Deathwatch force. I've completed a 5 man Primaris Intercessors unit, a Primaris Captain and a Leviathan Dreadnought.

Primaris Intercessors
I've painted these with the same metallic black base, with edge highlights of thunderhawk blue to the raised sections. The weapons have been picked out in red, as I did for the previous vehicles adn dreadnoughts. The helmet eyes have been picked out with blue, having a slight glow around them using a lighter blue than that used for the lenses. I will be doing similar with power weapons.

Primaris Captain
The Primaris Captain is based on the store birthday model, I've opted for him being from the Imperial Fists - to tie this in I've coloured the inner cape to match the yellow of the shoulder pad. I spent a lot of time on the face, and happy with the eyes.

Leviathan Dreadnought
I decided to add some major firepower for the force with an addition of a Blood Angels Leviathan armed with 2 Storm cannons. I've tried to retain the look of the blood angels, whilst balancing it so that it looks deathwatch, more than death company. The details have been painted the same as the previous dreadnoughts, with an addition of a Blood Angels decal to the Right shoulder pad.

Really happy with all of these units, and they look great together!
Thanks for looking!  Cheers, Lord Halfpenny

Chaos Daemons - Plaguebearers of Nurgle #3

Hi All, thanks for dropping by. This week's WeeMen offering is more Chaos Daemons, this time Plaguebearers of Nurgle. I've kept these on 25mm bases, like the previous two squads for consistency.
I've chosen a Deathguard Green base for these ones, and some Eshin Grey and Nihilakh Oxide on the Plague Swords for a different look. The guts are picked out with Screamer Pink and liberal use of Blood for the Blood God.
The miniatures were matt spray varnished and then BFTBG and Nurgle's Rot added on completion to keep a gloss wet look. The bases were my usual recipe of Mournfang Brown, Karak Stone, Ushabti Bone and some Gamers Grass tufts.
And here is the comparison of the three squads together, a nice variation of Nurgle greens and hues, they look fine in a big squad together too.

Thanks for stopping by all. Cheers, Siph. (10 points)

Imperial Inquisitor Grohl on Horseback

Hello one and all,

This weeks update was something a little smaller than a Titan - a conversion I've been working on for awhile. Using the old Archaon model as a base I've converted it to become an Inquisitor who will walk (trot) along side my Deathwatch Space Marine force.
All of the spikes and other Chaos symbols were removed from both Archaon and Dorghar, with the addition of some purity seals over the Chaos star on Dorghar hindquarters - I did try to green stuff this, however there was still a hint of Chaos there, so the Purity Seals were used to hide the taint!
For the scheme I opted for a neutral tones for Dorghar, with Zandri Dust as the base, a couple of lighter highlights, with a final Agrax Earthshade wash to finish. For the Imperial Inquistor I went for a white armour, to contrast with the black armoured deathwatch, with bright regal reds and purples for the cape. The head is from the old marauders kit (who looks a little like Dave Grohl...) with a metal Grey Knight Halberd and a Storm Shield from a 3rd party Emperor kit OOP. The spear had a purple blade, with white added to show the power surging through it.
Happy with the results, I've got a few more additions for his retinue to add, as well as plenty more Deathwatch! Cheers, Lord Halfpenny (10pts)

Chaos Daemons - Flesh Hounds of Khorne

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. I have completed my first of a couple of packs of Khorne Flesh Hounds, to accompany Karanak and the second pack will ensure at least some will survive the shooting phase to close with the enemy! A major weakness in Chaos Daemon armies.
These were a cinch to paint using the Contrast paints over Wraithbone primer, Flesh Tearers Red and Shyish Purple. The vanes around the head were picked out with Squig Orange and the Claws Eshin Grey, Dawnstone and Fortress Grey.
The Collar of Khorne was Brazen Brass, highlighted Fulgrite Copper and washed Agrax to dull it back down. I love the variation in colour of the Shyish Purple, Contrast Paints are ideal for organics.
The spikes and tail blades were Shyish Purple over the Fleshtearers Red. The tongue also Squig Orange and the teeth Ushabti Bone and contrast Skeleton Horde.
The final touch was a little Nihilakh Oxide on the Brass Collar and the bases my usual recipe of Mournfang Brown, drybrushed Karak Stone and Ushabti Bone. Tufts were from Gamers Grass I think.
A great little kit, the next pack will have the heads mixed around so no carbon-copies. Fairly simple but effective, I love the contrast paints for these Daemons.

Legio Crucius - Mori Quake Cannon Conversion for Warlord Titan

Hello one and all,

Thank you for stopping by!

I’ve recently completed my converted Mori Quake Cannon for the Warlord Titan. For this conversion, I used the Mori Quake Cannon from the Warbringer Nemesis Titan carapace and a Sunfury Plasma Annihilator cannon from the Warlord Titan, plus the gun shield from the Warlord Bellicosa Volcano Cannon. This seems insane to do, however I am doing a second conversion to be shown soon with the offcuts.
For the weapon I removed the ‘elbow’ connection point from the Sunfury Plasma Annihilator, and prepared this to be added to the cannon. Next up was to sand down and flatten the top point of the Mori Quake Cannon to allow the elbow to be pinned into place. Parts of the Mori Quake Cannon were chopped and changed to fit around the new joint.
For the ammo magazine, I used the 2 ammo boxes from the Warbringer Nemesis Quake Cannon kit, and pinned them together flipped at 90 degrees – I used the AT quake cannon as inspiration and guidance here. These fit really nicely into the main body, I also pinned this into place. I chopped up the rear section and lower support to fit the new ammo box for both ascetics and also to add additional support.
The Mori Quake has 2 curved sections to fit the gun carriage, for the inner section I added a part from a plasma generator plastic kit- a servo skull section which fits nicely into space.
For the outer section I added the gun shield from the Bellicosa Volcano Cannon kit.
The weapon was painted akin to the other Warlord weapons, with decals added for Legio Crucius.

Now I have 2 loadouts for the warlord, the first 2 Sunfury Plasma Annihilators for close range combat, or the second a Mori Quake Cannon and Bellicosa Volcano Cannon for a long range monster!

I am really happy with how the weapon looks, I am sure there will be a Mori Quake Cannon available soon, I was keen to have had the weapon as an option for the proposed 2020 UK Titan Walk - however this event was postponed due to the covid-19 situation.

Chaos Daemons - Bloodletters of Khorne

Hello all, thanks for dropping by, this week's addition to my Daemonic Incursion is another squad of Bloodletters, these can boost my current blob of 10 Bloodletters, giving me the option to run a squad of 20 if needed and an Icon of Chaos to help 'reality blink' and restore numbers.
These have a dark red to black fade scheme on the horns rather than horn, adding to the horrific substance of these, and firey Hellblades. I have also included an Instrument of Chaos to give bonuses if I pay the points.
The Khorne Daemon rules give bonuses to attacks and charging, as Khorne loves to fight!
The Icon of Chaos is a big symbol of the wrathful Chaos God of Khorne, covered in blood, I used some Blood for the Blood God technical paint for a wet blood look, befitting of Khorne.
Coming at you! RRRRARGH!

Titan Weapons - Warlord and Reaver

Hello one and all!

This week I've completed a couple of additional weapons for both the Reaver titans, and my Warlord.

Reaver - Dreadfire configuration
I've completed a set of warlord apoc missile launchers for use on my Reavers. This is an opd Epic version, utilising 3 missile pods. I've added a bolt into the weapon, to then screw into place through the shoulder. We will be using house rules for these if, and when I use this set up.
I am happy with the look, I think it would have been better if the missiles were horizonal, rather than vertical, however this would involve a huge conversion on each arm.

Backup plan is to use the missiles on my next warlord (if and when that happens..)

Warlord - Belicosa
The Belicosa volcano cannon has been completed with a similar style to the other volcano weapons in the legion. I've added heat detail to the barrel of the weapon using blue, purple, orange then finally yellow inks. A home made symbol decal has been added to the gun shield.

Thanks for stopping by! LH Annual Painting - 20pts (10 for belicosa, 5 for each missile pod)
