Lord TITANium - Warlord Titan #2 - Psi-Titan WIP

Hello one and all!

Up this week for your viewing is my next Warlord Titan, however I'm pushing the boat out and going all in for a PSI TITAN at 28mm scale. For this, I will be doing bespoke 3D printed parts for the Titan, including armour plates, weapons and psi-matrix crown, as FW/GW do not support 28mm Titans fully.

The build was ok, with the model pinned in all the places possible to help support the model. I have printed a portion of a 28mm printed Warmaster carapace for the Titan to be standing on.

I've opted for a colourshift paint for the armour panels, using a matt black base, then a gloss, then several passes with the colourshift. The plates will also have silver trim, which I think will fit better than a gold scheme.

So far the model has Apoc Missiles for the carapace, but I might also print some Gatling Blasters if the Titan is to be used 'more upclose'

I've also printed a Heavy Volkite and a C-Beamer for the model, as well as a CC option.. more to follow soon.

Legio Astorum - Warlord Titan #4 - Work in Progress - Spare Arioch Power Claw

Hello Titanseers, welcome to more progress on the fourth Warlord... it came with a spare arm so I thought I'd paint it! This is a Warlord Titan Arioch Power Claw, and I have two more with Warlord "Ex-Noctia" No.10, but this one has the actual power claw attachments rather than the power fist variety. No in game difference, purely aesthetics - the Power Claw looks generally more vicious and heretical...
The Arioch Power Claw comes with a Vulcan Mega Bolter Array which sits on the back of the hand. This adds either a pip of strength or a Vulcan Mega Bolter depending on in game rule set. At 28mm Titan Walks we have been granting the Vulcan Mega Bolter rules even though we are playing AT28mm rules where it usually has just a pip of strength to CC attacks - but in a massive battle of 30-100 Titans, a dual fist Warlord barely makes it across the floor/board to use them, at least with it shooting as well, in the closing stages it can strip shields and have an in game effect even if it doesn't make it into combat!
I added some white stripes to one panel to match several of my Titan maniple armour designs.
The power cables were a pain to paint but came out okay.
I opted for yellow knuckles again to break up the mass of blues.
Here it is pictured with the less stabby Power-Fist variety from Warlord "Ex-Noctia", perhaps now I really do need to paint a left-hand Power Claw since both of these are the same side. I do have one still in the unfinished Legio Atarus colours Ex-Noctia came in.
Here Warlord "Ex-Noctia" is modelling the newest battlefield accessory...

Thanks for dropping by. The Rites of Colour for Warlord No.258 "Raptor Astra" continues.

Legio Astorum - Warlord Titan #4 - Work in Progress - Weapon Arms

Hello Titanseers and all, welcome and thanks for dropping by. I have been busy updating the excellent paint scheme on my fourth Warlord to better match my own Maniple colours as well as preserve the excellent job Alan G did on his Titan. I hopefully have accomplished that with the update to the blues which have been repainted to match my Astorum Blue (Kantor Blue) and the golds have been warmed up with a stipple of Vallejo Brass (my gold) and a wash of Reikland Fleshshade.

The above image shows from top to bottom: Updated new Belicosa, Warlord 104's Belicosa, Updated Sunfury Plasma Annihilator and my original Sunfury.
The original new scheme, I have just repainted a quarter to match the existing ones on Dominus Victoria and removed a few of the decals as there is a little too many for my taste. Plus the blue overpainting to darken the blue.
More work was applied to the Sunfury, with a quarter scheme to match my own, and an extensive repaint of the details on the metals and the main noticeable change of the Plasma Magnetic Coils to match my blue power coils and the power cables now green, a common theme across my Titans and Knights.

A useful link to the whole Titan Construction process can be found HERE.

And finally, as this was a small update, I thought I would share the edited photo of Reaver Aquila Oculus, made by my mate Lee Marshall, (the Forge of Mars on YT). Thanks Mate!

The Rites of Colour continues, cheers. Princeps Siph

Legio Crucius - WIP Warhound #3 - including 3D printed weapons

Hello one and all,

This week I've started working on my 3rd (of 4) Warhounds, potentially with the long term plan to run 2 squadrons of 3 Warhounds at Titan Owner Club Walks.
The main part of the build is complete, with the skeleton of the titan done, pinned and secured together. I've opted for a static pose. The pelvis/torso has had magnets added. I've added pins to all the leg joins to support the Titan, as well as the head - as I've had one or two issues with the first two resulting in the head falling off due to transit.
The weapons for the Hound is exciting! I've printed options for the Titan, with the Volkite Eradicator and Ursus Claw for some serious close firepower. I will have the same load out for Warhound 4. These have been printed using my Anycubic Phantom, the Claw as several parts with the additions of supports for the print. I am really happy with how these look, hopefully more progress soon!

I've also worked on options for a Conversion Beamer and Warhound Melta Cannon, below is the Conversion Beamer. I've used 2 different files, and then spliced them up to allow the construction of it. Pretty happy with it!
Thanks for stopping by! LH

WIP - Primaris Desolator Marines

Desolators.. the great Marmite of the Primaris range.. love them, hate them.. they definitely split the camps.

For me, I was't keen. They reminded me of the t-shirt launchers seen at events, and also sdome versions of the Nerf guns.. Thus a change was needed.

I had a plan the moment I saw them, and have now completed the squad of 10 - however I thought I'd see what feedback is of them.

I've used the heavy bolter from the HH heavy set, with the main gun removed. The missile pods have been modified either by bending in two for the 4 rocket version, or shorted for the serg launcher, or cut in two and reset for the 2 launcher version.I'll post a 'how to soon' based on feedback..

These are for my Deathwatch force, and have various 3D shoulder pads added.

Lord TITANium - WIP updates - Deathwatch and Adeptus Titanicus

Hello all, here is a quick WIP update - load on at the moment!

Deathwatch

Further progress on my Deathwatch force, with more Primaris and Firstborn marines, I've built 3 Eliminators with the Las Fusil, the plan is to also utilise some Reivers with the spare sniper rifles.

I've also built a few Primaris Marines utilising some 3D printed bodies - These are all going to be from the Dark Angels chapters, potentially as a DW honour guard for the Lion..
Further Vets and Terminators to the Deathwatch squad - these are all done as per the DW scheme I've used before.

Adeptus Titanicus

I've started building my AT force, currently I've got 3 Warhounds, 2 Reavers and a Warbringer under construction.. currently reviewing what magnets I need for all the weapon options!

Cheers for stopping by! LH

WIP Update

 Hello one and all,

Quick  update..

I'm slowly working on another Belicoa cannon for my Warlord in preparation for the next Titan Owners Club walk - current to finish is the gold trim wash, and then highlights.

Also I've started working on my battle table terrain, this is some of the ttcombat buildings I purchased some time ago. For these pieces I started with a textured spray can to add texture to the buildings, with a heavier coat around the base, and any damage. This was left to dry, then given a grey base. This was then had several layers of browns, blacks and greys to add contrast. Again, the base of the buildings and damage was focused for darker tones.

I've got a couple more buildings to paint, as well as the mdf roads- really happy with how these are looking! LH

What to do with the Desolator Marines??? Help!

 Hello all!

A weird post this week.. I was planning to post WIP pics of my 10 man Desolator marines, included in the Agustus box set.. and well.. they haven't. I can't figure out what to do with them.. I'm in the camp of 'they look silly, but rules wise needed' thus have looked at ways to make them better.

I do like the option of mounting the rocket launchers to the backpack, however the rules wise this would be inaccurate, as these are the weapons the marine has to 'point and fire' whereas teh fed rocket cannon is the one that can target unseen models - however the ammo feed would need to be removed as not required..

Another option could be to reduce the 'nerf gun' sized weapons, and make them more streamlined, however this still leaves them looking like they are shooting t-shirt cannons into the crowd..

Could there be an option to utilise the old missile arm of firstborns, with the missile pack from the aggressors on their back? which then leads to the question of if there are other kits that could be used to make them look 'better' (I quite like them as they are - Siph)

I am doin these initally for my Deathwatch, so there is the option I go full out for converting them, and then when it comes to my Ultramarines, I stick with the original- as Guilliman wouldn't allow them to diviate from Cawl's work too much..

So the question is what to do with them??? LH

Deathwatch Update

 Hello All,

This weeks offering are further additions to my growing Deathwatch force.

I am current working on 10 space marine Vets, armed with heavy weapons- the frag cannon, and the heavy bolter/flamer combi weapon. These are 2 seperate squads, however the plan 'could' be to utilise these as a 10 man squad into a drop pod for some hard hitting force in the opposition deployment zone.

These are done as per my other units, with the details picked out.

Happy with how these are progressing. LH

Squaduary 2023 - Relictors Chapter Space Marine Primaris Reivers - end Week 2

Welcome Reader, I have continued my Squaduary pledge this week with the start of laying down basecoats of the Relictors Chapter Space Marine Primaris Reiver Squad. Last weekend's Beachhead Walk event with the Titan Owners Club was a blast, so I haven't had much time with these.
A few blogs out there are continuing Squaduary events, 262nd Krieg Blog, DAM is doing well with his Dark Angels, check 'em out.

Cheers all. Siph.

Deathwatch Space Marines - WIP update

Hello all, quick update - due to work! I have 3 current WIP. First up, a Relictors Deathwatch Primaris Captain, this guy has had a head swap for a 3D printed skull helm, also a hellblade has been added - as they are slightly heretical with their views! (How very dare you - Siph)

Next up, an Ultramarine Terminator Captain, this was one of the limited edition models with the grenade harness on the power fist, coming together well. Need add some further details and decals to finish.
Lastly, a Land Raider Spartan, as the Deathwatch boyz need a decent ride! This will be used to hold larger squads of Terminators, and hopefully securely over the battle field!
Cheers, LH

Legio Astorum - Warlord #3 - Ex Noctia WLT No.10 - Rites of Colour Continue

Hello Titanseers and welcome back. Progress on Ex-Noctia Warlord No.10 is progressing well. I have now completed the base and in process of gluing and screwing up into the feet from below, the trick being making sure you have wide head screws or washer, plus a hole drilled to the same circumference and depth of the screw haft, so just the thread digs into the resin. I also add a littel JB Weld to the screw for the maximum hold. The head of the screw is countersunk into a forstner bit recess so the underside of the base is flush. Here you can see some leg armour being glued and clamped in place.
The armour and heraldic shields and head and carapace weapons are all completed, awaiting the final 'beetle back' carapace armour panels, seen below.
This should not take too long to do, once completed though - I do have a small issue of the original owner sale included the weapons but when collected they were missing except the two fists it was fitted with at the time and still have not been found - I have been asking, however, I wanted WLT10 and the price without these was fair so I move on and need to purchase some more replacements in the near future. In the meantime and for the upcoming Beachhead 2023 Walk, I will use my Sunfury Plasma Annihilator and paint a Macro Gatling Blaster.
Clamping the Shoulder armour in place
Here is the completed base with the blasted tree, a random ebay purchase where I thought I was getting a pack of six for the price and in picture but the small print said each... always read the small print! Doh. So no forest terrain for me, and a lone tree fits nicely here.
The previous post I did have these rear armour panels in red still, however I thought better of it, too many red accents would detract from Astorum blue and gold, so they received the Rites of Colour too.
The Void Shield Vanes and top carapace I explained previously how they would remain red, however alternative red and blue panels works nicely with the other red accents and still leads nicely to the blue frontal armour.

The link to a whole Warlord Titan Construction process can be found HERE.

Just a few panels and an arm to get finished for this weekend's BeachHead 2023 at Bournemouth BIC for the Titan Owners Club UK BeachHead Walk!

Legio Astorum will Walk at the next Titan Owners Club UK event, where they will be battling alongside other Forge World Titans! I will be sure to post lots of photos.  Remember to register your own Titans at Titan Owners Club, and if you want some cool Titan Owners Club merchandise, we even now have a Spreadshirt Shop, any profits go to running these events or buying Titan sized terrain for future Walks for all members to enjoy :)

Cheers, Princeps Siph :)
