Chaos Daemons - Plaguebearers of Nurgle #3

Hi All, thanks for dropping by. This week's WeeMen offering is more Chaos Daemons, this time Plaguebearers of Nurgle. I've kept these on 25mm bases, like the previous two squads for consistency.
I've chosen a Deathguard Green base for these ones, and some Eshin Grey and Nihilakh Oxide on the Plague Swords for a different look. The guts are picked out with Screamer Pink and liberal use of Blood for the Blood God.
The miniatures were matt spray varnished and then BFTBG and Nurgle's Rot added on completion to keep a gloss wet look. The bases were my usual recipe of Mournfang Brown, Karak Stone, Ushabti Bone and some Gamers Grass tufts.
And here is the comparison of the three squads together, a nice variation of Nurgle greens and hues, they look fine in a big squad together too.

Thanks for stopping by all. Cheers, Siph. (10 points)

Chaos Daemons - Plaguebearers of Nurgle - by Nick at The Burning Eye

Hi All, thanks for dropping by for a look-see. In my second installment showcasing my recent blogger buddy commission work, and aptly following on from my resin Greater Unclean One, Greater Daemon of Nurgle, here is my newest Nurgle unit, more Plaguebearers of Nurgle. My plastic GUO will have the Doomsday Bell, so nearby Plaguebearers will benefit, hence a second unit. My first unit HERE were an alternative colour so I asked Nick to paint me a classic Nurgle skin tone.
Nick did a great job on these, and matched my basing colours, added Nurgles Rot pus from the open sores and Nihilakh Oxide to weather the Plagueswords and Standard. I think Plaguebearers are my favourite looking Daemons, they really show the madness of the grimdark...
I particularly like the fly headed Plaguebearer. Thanks to Nick for another excellent addition to my ever growing Chaos Daemons army, I must post a family picture in due course! If you like what you see and want some decent above-table top standard commission work, feel free to check out The Burning Eye blog commissions page and ask Nick if he is doing more commission work.

Thanks, have a great week, Cheers, Siph.

Bloated Bellies - Plaguebearers Squad Finished!

Hope you are having a good Crimbo period and your bellies are not as bloated as these guys, a squad of Plaguebearers for my Relictors to summon using Daemonology - fighting fire with fire, the true Relictor way! I spoke about it in a previous post Relictor Daemonology.
These have been finished off with some yucky Nurgle Rot paint for glistening slime ridden guts and wounds. Nice stuff!
Thanks for dropping in, have a good holiday period and hope Santa bought you lots of new Weemen!

Relictors Daemonology - Summoning Something Rotten

When I started this Blog in 2008, it was and still is a showcase of my Relictors for anyone, especially my good friend Lord Halfpenny to see what progress I've been making and him vice versa, and now our good friend 6thDegree too. Whoever else drops by often leads to constructive comments and I check out their blogs for ideas too. I now bring you my latest (and oldest) idea...

Now with the advent of 7th and Daemonology Summoning, my Relictors can further expand within the rules what they specialise in - Using Chaos to Fight Chaos, their fluff can be found here and here. In summary, they are often seen as heretics but they are still loyal to the God Emperor of mankind, but use the tools of Chaos to further their victories over the Dark Powers, they have plentiful Librarians to wield the often hazardous and insidious weapons - some say a dangerous path, others a fickle one, or a necessary one, but to others a step too far, but my Relictors 5th Company have been fighting the good fight since 2008!

Only now, they will be able to field plentiful cheap Librarians, as per their fluff, and use Daemons in their bid to rid the galaxy of the Emperors enemies!
I picked up a number of unusually dark painted Plaguebearers that were painted neatly but plainly - I am now transforming them by re-doing the metallics, pus filled lesions, horns, adding some Nurgle's Rot and Typhus Corrosion with a splash of Blood for the Blood God and of course the bases and here is one I did earlier...
