Hello all and welcome Brother Dreadtober-teers, I have completed my pledge early this year, a Necron Canoptek Doomstalker.
A poor unfortunate Relictor Captain casualty was added to the base as this is Dreadtober so I wanted a little more effort and it matches my other Dreadtober pledge Deredeo Dreadnought with a SM casualty on its base.
Very War of the Worlds vibe with this miniature "Oooooh Laa, Dum Dum Dumm!"
I quite enjoyed this one, it was nice to paint something quite substantial for the Necrons and it was a fairly easy build and sub-assembly.
Here is a comparison with the Canoptek Reanimator, the Doomstalker is quite big.
Dreadtober is an annual event held over the month of October where hobbyists pledge to do a dreadnought-sized model from the to-do pile and get it finished, starting 1st Oct and hopefully completing 31st Oct (Halloween/All Hallows Eve) with lots of progress shots and encouragement along the way :) Check the Link in Sidebar or

Looks great! Blue necrons are very striking, and a nice change over the sea of boltgun metal they usually are.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I had not realized that it was not an upgunned version of the Reanimator, so thanks for posting that comparison!
