Necron Dynasty - C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer

Hello all, thanks for dropping by. This week I have updated my C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer from the old metal sculpt to the positively huge new plastics! A vast improvement to accompany the stronger rule set which reflects its status as a shard of a xenos Star God... this was a Commission I asked my good friend Rob (Eyecon74 on IG) from Titan Owners Club do for me as I had seen his Warhammer Community painted one and thought yep, Rob you can paint mine!

I love the dynamic posing and scythe, and the nod to the old sculpt with the inclusion of the Canoptek Scarab swarms.

The 'cloth' has an aged look to it, befitting a Star God

I darkened the soil to look burnt after the passage of the gauss energy lightning and did the usual basing rim and added tufts, otherwise its all Rob's work.

The aforementioned Canoptek Scarab swarms, a nod to the original sculpt which was riding a cresting wave of Scarabs. These look to have blocks of Blackstone in their abdomens.

And a shot of my Necron bigger models, I must do an army shot of the whole force, it has grown considerably since my last group photo years ago!
