Dreadtober 2024 - Pledge Complete - Imperial Knights - Cerastus Knight Lancer

Hello Dreadtober-teers and Readers all, thanks for dropping by. I have completed my #Dreadtober2024 pledge in the form of a Vassal Knight of Legio Astorum, a Cerastus Knight Lancer, resin kit from Forgeworld. This will be the first of three (others plastic kit from GW) to make up a Banner of Knights when we do Titan Walks at Titan Owners Club, using AT28mm rules.
The Lancer is astride a tactical rock like all good Knight Senschal's should be. I think the more static pose of one of the plastic Knights will make the Senschal of this Banner, but for now - this is the solo Knight.
I did a rather understated muted blue glow of the Shock Lance and Ion Shield, but I think they look quite good so I am quite happy with the effect I achieved through dry brushing.
The en-guard pose, shield up and lance at ready I am quite please with.
The remenants of an enemy Knight Questoris lay at the Lancer's feet. House Malinax is missing a Knight...
Tacticool Rock for the Win!
Here you can see the guard pose I wanted to achieve, the Knight Helmet doesn't give the best field of view for the sensor optics, I'm sure there are more optics somewhere!
A close up of the Ion Shield
And magnetised for safer transport to Titan Owners Club events!
Dreadtober is an annual event held over the month of October where hobbyists pledge to do a dreadnought-sized model from the to-do pile and get it finished, starting 1st Oct and completing 31st Oct (Halloween/All Hallows Eve) with lots of progress shots and encouragement along the way :) and I like to partake in Dreadtober, and have done for a few years, check out the link in the sidebar >>>>

Cheers, and great work to all the Dreadtober-teers this year, thanks for the inspiration and the Dreads! And not forgetting it was run by Marc (Old School Gaming) so a massive thanks to him for keeping the hobby event alive for another year! And thanks to the founder Greggles, and Joe B and Todd (Sincain40K) and Joel (Mordian7th) for their contributions through the years too. See you next year Dreadtober-teers and next week for a recap of now Seven years Dreadtober!

Cheers, Siph (20pts)
