In Honour of Dreadtober - I am away but always a Dreadtober-teer!

I am unfortunately away this year for one of my favourite blog hobby events, every October I try to take part on Dreadtober, with great success adding to my forces throughout the years, and in a year where I am potentially adding more dreadnoughts than ever (owning to the fact that I purchased 18 of a mate) and did my three Redemptor chassis pictured above (Redemptor / Ballistus / Brutalis) it is a shame I couldn't be home to participate.
Here are my previous offerings - and whoever participated this year - Congratulations!

Imperial Knights - Vassal Knights of Legio Astorum - Questoris Paladin #3

Hello Readers and welcome. I have another Imperial Knight this week for my Vassal Knights of Legio Astorum, to accompany my Titans in battle. This week it is a Questoris Knight Paladin.
This is scheduled whilst I am away so unable to participate in Dreadtober, where last year I did a Imperial Knight Preceptor! Check out the progress of this year's participants at the link in sidebar.
The head is one I haven't used yet on my extensive Imperial Knights army so far, I quite like it and the yellows were a base of Trooper White from DRPA, followed by Citadel Casandora Yellow which settled in the recesses, with two thin coats ;) of Forge World Sigsmund Yellow Clear, the best Astorum yellow out there!
This was a cheap eBay purchase, I liked the pose, a different take on the usual monopose legs all knights have, and a decent half-price when you include a bonus Armiger Warglaive, quite the bargain.
I added Legio Astorum decals from Forge World, sadly OOP (why FW, why? A sheet now costs in excess of £100 from scalpers)...
The reverse Pauldrons denote their allegiance to the Imperium. I added brass in the usual spots and around the reactor core, green power cables etc. These cues link all my Knights.
And topped the Paladin off with carapace Missile Pod or Icarus Array, magnetised.

That's now 20 Knights and Armigers... and I still have that box of Renegade to start and another Questoris Knight to complete...

Relictors Chapter Space Marine - Ballistus Dreadnought

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. My latest offering for the reinforcements to the Relictors Battle Companies is a Ballistus Dreadnought, the shooty 'Redemptor' chassis version. Armed with a Heavy Lascannon and a Ballistus Missile Launcher it packs some punch.
I am scheduling these posts as I am away and unable to participate in this year’s Dreadtober, check out the people’s progress at Dreadtober blog.
I didn't realise until assembly that the one in the Leviathan box set is a push-fit model, but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of detail it still preserved (thinking of the AOBR plastic dreadnought of old), only the rear of the legs were noticeably lacking detail and the right foot on the tactical rock - not like the AOBR lacking exhaust stacks.
I used some big a$$ decals on the huge slab sided armour, the Relictors symbol and numerals echoing the previous two Redemptor Dread designs, and a huge Heavy Support chevron.
The right arm housed the Lascannon, I repeated the common theme of green power cables, and used the biggest Relictor icon and weathered t slightly to not look too false.
The skull fits perfectly.
This was stock built with only a slight twist in the waist rather than using the plastic push-fit peg, to give more dynamism in which is a fairly static gun platform, also I covered up some of the 'vines' or 'tyranid spore growth' from the concrete slab using some gravel.

More Deathwatch additions - Brutalis Dreadnought and Eliminators - DONE!

Hello All,

This weeks offerings are further additions for the Deathwatch force,

First up is the Brutalis Dreadnought - from the Rainbow Warriors Chapter!

I really love the look of this, the model screams 'combat!' I was tempted to opt for another chapter, but for some reason I thought I'd go old school with it. The chapter symbol is free hand, with a chapter marking on the right knee armour plate. The armour is painted as per my Deathwatch, with the addition of a resin base - you can't have too many tactical rocks!

This was my offerings for the Dreadtober event! A great addition to the force!

Next up, 3 Primaris Eliminators. These at kitbashed from the original Eliminator kit, and Reivers kit, armed with the spare snipers (I've got another 2 to do)

I opted to paint these with a transition scheme of Deathwatch Black into camo/chameleon colour, based on the colours of the base in a  Tau- styled look. I've used a blue hue finished with white for the transition lines, and really happy with how this has finished. I am planning to do this style for all Phobos armoured marines.

Thanks for looking! LH (11pts)

Relictors Chapter Space Marine - Castraferrum Venerable Dreadnought #3

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I am scheduling these posts again as I return overseas. But Dreadtober continues at Dreadtober blog this year, so in light of that I prepared some Dreads. This is the third of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. A Venerable Dreadnought, aptly from the 1st Company Relictors as any good Veteran should be but attached to the 5th Company to guide them with Wisdom of the Ancients.
I now have the honour of matching 18 of these to my current Relictors Battle Company, mainly all the Castraferrum types
Here is Goddenzilla's version, and below mine.
As you can see I have redone a fair few panels with a lighter grey, my Codex Grey. I've repainted the gold trim, added decals, repainted the plasma from Green to Blue glow, and various little bits. And matched the base to my own armies.
Don't forget to check out the progress of Dreadtober-teers at this year's Dreadtober!

Redemptor and Brutalis Dreadnoughts - Relictors Decals

Just a quick one, I've updated the Redemptor Dreadnought to match the Brutalis Dreadnought now both sporting the Relictors decals from Fallout Hobbies. I'm liking the new livery.
Unfortunately I am not around for this year’s Dreadtober but check them out and join during the month of October at the link in sidebar.
The massive side skull decals come in left and right versions so the icon is always looking forward or to the left as the basic icon looks to the left. Fear not, I am currently (when writing - I am away at mo irl) working on a third itteration of the Redemptor chassis, with a Ballistus Dreadnought, the replacement of the basic Castraferrum Lascannon and Missile Launcher variation - RIP Castraferrum (but - I have plenty of them to re-paint from my mate Goddenzilla).

Cheers, Siph
