WeeMen at Titan Owners Club UK Main Walk - 18-19 July

Last weekend was the Titan Owners Club main event held in Milton Keynes, this is the main Walk for the year with over 150 titans and numerous Imperial Knights, even some Ork Gargants and Eldar Titans with custom rules for Adeptus Titanicus adapted for 28mm scale!
Here was the set up, five main battle mats, for 8 games - one mat is for custom Ork playtesting and one large mat for a custom Imperator titan scenario.
There was two large Imperators, one printed, one scratchbuilt in a custom scenario defending a gate of the Imperial Palace perhaps!
There was a right bunch of Princeps in attendance! A great weekend had by all.
Here you can see the Command Terminals used to control and manage titans Voids, repairs, reactor heat etc.
There was a City Board
And a snowy tundra Board

Some beautiful Legio Solaria Warhounds
A second City Board with a super highway
And some great titans with conversions like Luke C's Vulturum Warlord!

Hills are upturned fish ponds
And a load of custom 3D printed buildings and a mono-rail
And Orks!
I had the opportunity to fight alongside my fellow Astorum player Aaron, against a combined Legio Fureans side.
I took a Corsair Maniple of Reavers armed with Melta and close combat weapons, plus Lancers and Armigers
A great shot of the Reaver Titans advancing.

Legio Fureans of Ethan and Ben
"Honorum" beside a sneak preview of "Astor Tyrannis"
Vassal Knights of Legio Astorum supported the God Engines
"Aquila Occulus" beside "Incaeduus Prime"

A great weekend, thanks to all at Titan Owners Club.

Cheers, Siph

Legio Astorum - Forge World Reaver Titan No. 009 - Legs and Base Complete

Hello Titanseers, thanks for dropping by. Reaver 009 "Astor Tyrannis" is coming along nicely. Approximately at the halfway point I reckon, weapons done and now Legs and Base completed.
From rear, you can see the latest victim of its Power Claw, a decapitated head of an Aeldari Revenant Titan.
Scars on the head score and burn the wraithbone construction and Ulthwe sigils.
I crafted a emergency neck release booster assembly where the ball joint is normally
Underside of the Reaver pelvis shows downward looking cameras to guide the feet placement and detect any assaulting melta-bomb armed troops.
The base was 6mm MDF and a slice of 3mm Hardboard (Fiberboard) as the reconstructed legs sit a little elevated on one side.
Glue PVA and sand mix plus a few slate chips form the surface. Under the foot, the board was scored and glue applied to feet and base and secured with a screw from the underside into the foot and ankle.
The banner was printed with exception of the name, I added that with a Micron Pen. The brass rod I use to pin titans forms the bar, and the chain is ferrous metal so attaches to the underside of the titan with magnets, simple. Progress continues, (scheduled posts - irl it would have been completed and taken to the Titan Owners Club UK Main Walk in Milton Keynes last weekend).

Cheers, Princeps Siph

Adeptus Custodes - Vexilus Praetor with Praesidium Shield #2

Hi all, thanks for dropping in. Following on from the Guardians a few weeks ago, another of the eBay purchased lot, a Vexilus Praetor with a Praesidium Shield. Another exquisite paint job, pleased I found this lot.
Love the detailing, gem work and plumes. Really nicely detailed Custodes.
I re-painted the bases to match my own forces.
More great additions to the now extensive Custodes force, probably quite a few points too!

Cheers, Siph

Legio Astorum - Forge World Reaver Titan No. 009 - The Leg Work Starts

Hello Titanseers, thanks for dropping by. Well, after Reaver "Incaeduus Prime" was finished, I picked up Reaver 009 "Astor Tyrannis" again.

Here was the stencil work done for the leg greaves, firstly painted blue, then masked off and sprayed white and black towards the bottom, then sprayed red and the flame tips yellow. Then vinyl and masking removed and a little clean up required.
Here the flames have been tidied up with the blue covering any overspray. Next the trim will be applied and a recess Night Lords Blue in the blue parts.
Nice and fairly simple to achieve with the vinyl stencil and a rattlecan... who needs airbrushes eh? ;) The trim will be done and washed Reikland Fleshshade, then a recess wash around the edges with Agrax Earthshade and on the blue parts with Night Lords Blue as usual with the blue panels.
Started with one of the legs, painting red on Astorum Engines is weird, but this will be where the flames are so red based lower greaves as seen below.
One leg done
Progress on the weapons progresses, the Rites of Construction continue...

Cheers, Siph
