Blog Wars- PSJ Ultramarine List

As the weekends festivities get closer, I thought I'd share my blog wars army list.

HQ- Marneus Calgar ……………250 points
Termi armour……………..………15 points
Elite
5 Man Terminator Squad………200 points
Heavy Flamer………………….....5 points
5 Man Assault Terminator Squad………200 points
Ironclad,+melta………………………….145points
Dreadnought Drop Pod……………………..50 points
(taken from IA apoc 2 rule book)
Troops
10 Man tactical,
Power weapon, Flamer, Multi-Melta + DP…220 points
10 Man tactical
Melta, Missile launcher………………………….175 points
Heavy
Land Raider……………………………………………..250 points
Land Raider Redeemer ……………..………………240 points
Total - 1750

This is a list I've used against Siph, and it worked ok, its a definite jugular killing force, aimed to kill first, and think about objectives later. The 2 land raiders are full with 2 terminator squads, plus Marneus Calgar, who is without doubt, one of the most powerful characters in the game. I will also have 2 drop pods, one with a full tactical squad, and the second with an Ironclad. I am using the IA dreadnought drop pod rules, thus he can charge into combat on the turn he arrives. The final unit is another tactical squad which will sit pretty at the back, with the task of taking objectives. (2 combat squads)

See you Sunday!

  2. ha- you could say that!

its definitely a force that will either end up tabling the opposition, or getting tabled!

    either way- laughs all round!

  4. ah- the dreadnought drop pod rules are the dogs!

    Marneus rocks,

eternal warrior rules+terminator armour = a very happy PSJ!

Also the God of War rules are great too!

  5. Only comment would be I would switch the flamer & melta among the two tac squads. Also I thought the dread drop pods were much more expensive - maybe that's a version from a later IA.

  6. Tristan- cheers for the pointer, I had thought about changing the wargear load outs, will prob change depending on the opposition.

The dreadnought DP is taken from the IA apoc book 2, and I've just double cheeked, and am correct. Previous editions of the IA had a standard DP for 5 marines as 50 points, so the dreadnought version would of been a higher cost.

  7. Little bit of cheeky IA sneaking in eh clearly you need to be drawn against the Elysian player :)

Look forward to seeing how the Smurfs do compared with the new Marine books.

  8. O'Shashar- its cheeky I know, however its my favourite tactic!

the Space Smurfs are bound to fluff it big time, I'd bet on myself to be the one that gets tabled the most on Sunday....
