I love the tips at the end...we have those as well whenever we play our games.

Question: Can you put 2 combat squads in a single drop pod? Where is the reference for that? I had thought once you Squad up your marines, they have to be treated as separate units and thus cannot ride in the same vehicle.

If I'm wrong...hello drop pod army! :)Cawshis Clayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02601093563919440680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5963476950306205201.post-28124308542476813422009-05-27T14:52:02.250+01:002009-05-27T14:52:02.250+01:00Very nice looking game! I always enjoy the games more when everything is painted, it just looks fantastic.

I find that every game I play there's always some little rule that comes up that we've either been playing incorrectly or that we totally forget about until afterward. I did think that my dreadnough getting smashed so easily couldn't be right!
As Siph said the rules for the thunderfire weren't directly clear to us at first. However this was one of the reasons for the tips at the end of the report. I'll never forget my dreadnough has armour 12 in CC, or my lighning claws have re-rolls!!

Oni- indeed the board isn't a drop pod friendly style! - I'm aiming to increase the board by 2*4 foot, with less terrain.Lord TITANium Halfpennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02190609559645354960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5963476950306205201.post-52899337766840494552009-05-26T16:14:58.967+01:002009-05-26T16:14:58.967+01:00Ah ha. We are always glad for them, Thunderfire multiple blast markers makes more sense but isn't mentioned in Codex so we just used one blast template. And yes we used vehicle in CC presumption.Siph_Horridushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07159625883822754521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5963476950306205201.post-19525937238287266992009-05-26T14:06:07.276+01:002009-05-26T14:06:07.276+01:00I like your board. It's not very Drop Pod / deep strike friendly tho, but none the less awesome.

And yes, scouts can not hurt a dreadnought in combat with anything other than a krak grenade. Combat results on walkers are resolved on the front armour. We all make mistakes, I made a rather large one in the two games I played this weekend. :)onihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00826913158717010235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5963476950306205201.post-87123051573476971372009-05-26T12:58:39.252+01:002009-05-26T12:58:39.252+01:00Couple of notes:

So a thunderfire places its target point then scatters 4 small blasts off that point. It is like firing 4 seperate shots at the same point.

SM with a combat blade cannot hurt a dread. Dreads are always close combat attacked on front armor of 12(13 for ironclad) not rear armor like tanks.eriochromehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377904099582258296noreply@blogger.com
